The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate junior Siuslaw wrestler Matthew Hor
rillo as this week’s athlete of the week. Matthew went 5 and 0 in this past Saturday’s Oregon West Conference Dual tournament in Philomath. He pinned 3 and won two by decision in the 220 pound weight class.
Honorable mention goes to freshman Viking basketball player Brody Terry who scored 13 points and 3 assists in last Friday’s overtime loss in Cottage Grove.

Sky-em League basketball tonight is a boys and girls double header as the Siuslaw Vikings host the Marist Spartans. Pregame for tonight’s match up is at 5:30, the girls game tips off at 5:45m the boys follow at 7:15.
Mountain West League boys and girls double header action has Mapleton taking on Siletz Valley. The Girls tip off in game one at 5:30, the boys game follows at 7 o’clock.
