Stanford Dams Up Beavers

Stanford surprised Oregon State last night as the visiting Cardinal showed no respect for the Beaver home field advantage.  Four Cardinal players scored in double figures including 23 points from Oscar Da Silva and 20 points from Josh Sharma.  The Beavers Tres Tinkle was held to 16 points and Stephen Thompson junior was held to 15.  Final score Stanford 83, Oregon state 60

Sailors Split With Eddyville

The Mapleton Sailors were on the home court last night against Eddyville.  For the boys, JJ Neece led the Sailors in scoring with 13 points and senior Evan Moso added 12 but the Eagles outscored the Sailors 51-38.  The Sailor Ladies had a different outcome in mind last night as they came out hard and fast against the Eagles.  Mapleton scored 48 points against Eddyville’s 23 for the win.

Weekend Collegiate Schedule:

Oregon State takes on the Cal Bears Saturday in Corvallis with a pregame at 2 o’clock, tip off at 2:30 on KCFM.  Oregon plays the Stanford Cardinal Sunday with a pregame on KCST at 4:30, tip off from Eugene at 5 o’clock.

Vikings at Home Tonight

The Vikings host the Pirates in Sky-Em basketball tonight at Siuslaw High School.  Pregame on KCST is at 5:30, the boys game tips off at 5:45, the girl’s game follows at 7:15.

Wrestling

Siuslaw wrestling closes out the district season weekend with the Special District two regional championships at Junction City High School beginning this afternoon and continuing on Saturday.

Women’s Hoops

Pac Twelve women’s basketball tonight has both the Ducks and Beavers in the California Bay Area.  Oregon State takes on Stanford in Palo Alto 6 o’clock, while the Oregon women are in Berkley facing the Cal Bears.
