4 Vikings Advance to State
The Siuslaw Viking Wrestlers competed in the 4A Special District 2 tournament on Friday and Saturday. 6 wrestlers medaled in the competition and 4 qualified for the state tournament in Portland. Senior Riley Jennings, junior Matthew Horrillo, and sophomores Elijah LaCosse and Ryan Jennings will compete on February 22-23 at Veterans Memorial Stadium. This past weekend Lacosse and Horrillo place third in their respective weight classes and Ryan and Riley Jennings placed fourth in theirs.
Siuslaw/Marshfield
The Siuslaw Viking basketball teams were on the court on Friday against Marshfield. The girls were defeated 60-24 and the boys lost 56-43.
Ducks Over Stanford
The Oregon Ducks defeated Stanford on Sunday at home by a score of 69-46. Payton Pritchard led scorers with 20.
The Duck Women were in Stanford where they defeated the Cardinal 88-48.
Beavers Over Cal
The Beavers were at home against Cal on Saturday. They defeated the golden Bears 79-71.
The lady Beavers beat Cal on Sunday 82-74.
