Soccer at Siuslaw
According to Siuslaw Athletic Director, Chris Johnson the new fall soccer season will include Sky-Em league games.
“We have 5 league games scheduled so we’re going to play all our road games on the league and then we’ve added a couple of home games too.”
There are 3 games set for home games and the plan, according to Johnson, is to play them at Miller Park. Soccer will follow a JV schedule and will be open to both boys and girls as the school fields a coed team. The plan is to expand to a girls and a boys team at some point down the road. Johnson says one of the difficult things for sports is that only about 100 students out of 400 participate. A number Johnson says he would like to see increase.
On the Diamond
The Ducks are on the diamond this evening in Portland to take on the Pilots. First pitch on the University of Portland Campus is at 5 o’clock.
