Ducks Win Over Huskies

The Oregon Ducks finish the season strong with a defensive showing in Seattle on Saturday.  Many had their doubts as to the veracity of the Ducks, but coach Dana Altman said he liked the way the “guys were flying at their shooters.”  Paul White led the charge in the first half but left the game in the second half after fouling out.  Payton Pritchard led Duck scorers with 16 as the Ducks bested the Huskies 55-47.  The Ducks will meet Washington State in the First Round of the PAC 12 Tournament on Wednesday.  Pregame at 8pm.

Beavers Over WSU

The OSU Beavers also finished the regular season with a win over the Washington State Cougars on Saturday, 85-77.  The Beavers end the season with a 10-8 record in the PAC12 and an 18-12 record overall.  They will face either California or Colorado on Thursday in Las Vegas, game time 2:30 pm.

Diamond Play

The OSU Beavers on the Diamond won two and tied one over the weekend.  They began Friday with a win over Minnesota 2-1, and Saturday won over Indiana 8-3.  Sunday’s game against Coastal Carolina went 11 innings and ended in a 4-4 tie.

After losing the first game to Hawaii, the Oregon Ducks rallied for three straight wins in Honolulu. 3-1, 4-3, and 8-7.  The Ducks and the Beavers meet tomorrow in Corvallis.

Women’s PAC 12

The lady Ducks fell in the final game of the PAC 12 Tournament to no.2 seed Stanford. The Cardinal bested the Ducks 64-57.
