Mapleton Track Results
A computer glitch was the reason that there were no Mapleton track and field results from Tuesday’s meet, but that has been fixed. Brier Shird took first place in the 800 meter race with a time of 3:04.9 and Opal Burruss finished first in the 3000 meter with a time of 13:20.9. Emily Stevens tied for first place in the 100 meter hurdles and Phillip Burnett took the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 20.52. JJ Neece had 3 first place finishes with the 300 meter hurdles 49.58, the triple jump at 38 ft 3 and ¼ inches and the high jump at 5 ft 8 in. Nate Neece took a second place in the shot put with a toss of 36 ft 5 in.
Ducks and Bulldogs
Oregon is on the diamond this afternoon in Eugene hosting the Fresno State Bulldogs in the first of four non-conference games at PK Park. First pitch is set for 6 o’clock. The series continues through Sunday.
Beavers Split with Aztecs
The OSU Beavers got one back from San Diego State yesterday. 5 Oregon pitchers combined to hold the Aztecs to just three hits and one run. Pitching was backed up by a 4 run first inning. The beavers added one in the third and 3 more in the 7th for an 8-1 victory. The Beavers host Utah next with games beginning tomorrow and ending on Sunday.
