Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Viking sophomore Skylar Loomis. Loomis had a second place finish in the Javelin at last Saturday’s Meet of Champions with a personal record toss of 164’7″. According to coach Chris Johnson Loomis has shown significant progress over the season with Personal Record throws in both the Javelin and Discus.
Honorable Mention goes to Mapleton sophomore JJ Neece for a first place finish in the 1a MCTF track and field meet. Neece had a personal record toss in the javelin of 147’5″
Viking Baseball
Skyem League action on the diamond this afternoon has the Vikings in Junction City for baseball against the hosting Tigers. Pregame on KCST is at 4:45, first pitch is at 5 o’clock on KCST.
Viking Softball
The Lady Viks will take on the Tiger Girls in Junction City for Softball at 5 o’clock.
Track and Field
The Siuslaw Track and Field team will be in coos bay for the Sky-Em League Varsity Meet this afternoon
Beaver Baseball
Oregon State will host Gonzaga’s Bull Dogs for a one off non-conference baseball game in Corvallis at 5:30.
