#1 Tops Ducks; Cold Beaver Bats

#1 Tops Ducks

The Number One ranked UCLA Bruins visited the Oregon Ducks last night in Eugene for the first of 3 games.  The two teams were locked in a 2-2 tie until the 8th inning when Bruin first baseman Michael Toglia hit a two run homer to put UCLA up by two.  That would be it for the scoring.  Bruins win 4-2.  Game two of the three game finale is this evening at 6 pm.  The series and the season concludes on Saturday with a first pitch at 4 pm.

Cold Beaver Bats

The Oregon State Beavers bats were cold last night as they hosted the USC Trojans for the first of 3 games.  The Trojans only needed 2 runs at Coleman Field to overtake the struggling Beavers.  Bryce Fehmel had a good outing only allowing 2 runs on 6 and a third innings, but once again it was offense that lacked in the game.  Game two of the series is this evening at 6 pm with a 5:30 pregame on KCFM.  Tomorrow the series finishes up with a pregame at 11:30 on KCFM and a first pitch at noon.
