Final Day of MLB Draft

The MLB draft continued yesterday with 4 more Oregon State Beavers being chosen.  Left-Handed junior pitcher Brandon Eisert was selected by Toronto.  Eisert has appeared in 62 games over 3 seasons with the Beavers with an 18-5 record.  His 2.28 era ranks ninth in Oregon State history.

Bryce Fehmel was selected by the San Francisco Giants the right-handed pitcher has a 33-8 record with a 3.27 era.

Pitcher Dylan Pearce and outfielder Tyler Malone were also selected yesterday.

4 Ducks Advance

Four Oregon Ducks advanced to the finals in the NCAA outdoor track and field championships.  Cravon Gillespie advanced in the 100 and 200 meter races  and Eric Edwards jr advanced in the 110 meter hurdles.  The Duck’s 4×100 meter relay team also advanced.

3 Ducks also were selected in the MLB draft on Wednesday.  Outfielder Jonny DeLuca was chosen by the Dodgers, Catcher Jakob Goldfarb was selected by the Chicago White Sox, and Right-handed pitcher Kenyon Yovan was selected by the LA Angels.
