Shutte Defers to 2020
Siuslaw Athletic Director, Chris Johnson announced that there is an additional deferment to the Hall of Fame inductions. Jesse Schutte was to be part of the 2019 class, but he is scheduled to be in a PGA event that week. Schutte is a member of the 2006 graduating class of Siuslaw High School and won the 3A individual state golf titles in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Ems Take Series
The Eugene Emeralds took the series from the Tri City Dust Devils last night at PK Park. The Ems got behind quickly as the Dust Devils struck in the first inning with 3 runs, but the Ems rebounded in the bottom of the second to score 4. That would be all that they would need to win, but the Ems added another run in the 3rd to make it a 5-3 game. The Ems travel to Boise this evening for a 3 game series against the Hawks at Memorial stadium.
