Volcanoes Erupt on Ems

Volcanoes Erupt on Ems

The Eugene Emeralds were on their heels again last night at PK Park as the visiting Salem-Kaiser Volcanoes racked up 8 runs in the second inning including a 2 run blast from volcano center fielder  Alexandro Canario.  The Ems had established a 2 run lead in the bottom of the first, but let the game escalate in the second.  The Ems slowly fought back getting within one of Salem Kaiser in the bottom of the 7th, but the Volcanoes got a safety run in the 8th and closed the books on the Ems.  Final score was 9 to 7.

There is no game this evening as the MLB takes a break for its All Star Game.  The 2 teams resume their series on Wednesday at volcanoes Stadium in Kaiser. It is an afternoon game with first pitch at 1:05 pm.
