NWL Comes Up Short in All-Star Game

The Pioneer League outgunned the the Northwest League last night at the MILB All-Star game.  The  Pioneer League managed 11 runs on 9 hits including 4 home runs.  The first being a grand slam in the top of the third inning with 2 outs.  The Emeralds McCauley pitched the eighth inning and gave up two hits and two runs which included a solo shot by Ogden Raptors second baseman Sam McWilliams.  Final Score Pioneer League 11, Northwest League 7.  League play continues tomorrow evening as the Ems stay in Boise for a 3 game series against the Hawks.
