Emeralds Home Against Vancouver

The Eugene Emeralds dropped the final two games against the Boise Hawks over the weekend in Boise.  That broke the 5 game win streak the Ems had going.  They dropped the Friday game 9-7 and Saturday the Hawks pasted the Ems with 13  hits and 10 runs including a pair of homers to stun the Ems 10-2.  The Emeralds were back at home last night to host the Vancouver Canadians.  The two teams were knotted up at 2 until the bottom of the ninth when Caleb Knight hit a single to score short stop Pedro Martinez for the 3-2 win.  The Ems are at home through Friday and will host the Canadians for two more games on Monday and Tuesday  before meeting with Salem Kaiser for three games beginning Wednesday.  The Ems are 26-29 on the season.
