Emeralds Win
The Eugene Emeralds found a way to bounce back from an 8-1 drubbing at the hands of the Spokane Indians on Saturday. Last night is Spokane the Ems led through 8 ½ innings until the Indians scored on a sacrifice fly. After advancing on a wild pitch, third baseman Ryan Reynolds scored on a Luis Vazquez single. Eugene has one more tonight against the Indians before returning to PK Park to host the Hillsboro Hops for 3 games. Final score from last night’s matchup – 2-1 Eugene.
First Cross Country Event
Siuslaw Viking Cross Country will begin their season on Saturday September 7 at the Spartan XC Invite. The event is held at Marist High School in Eugene.
