JV Soccer Advances to 4-0; Vikings Pounce on Falcons

JV Soccer Advances to 4-0

It was a mid-field battle for Siuslaw Viking Soccer against Cottage Grove yesterday.  Three minutes into the match Jaxson Jensen scored a goal to take a one – zip lead.  The JV team worked hard to score more with 23 additional shots on goal, 14 of them coming in the second half of the game.  Cottage Grove made several breakaway attempts in the second half going toe to toe with Siuslaw’s goalie Sonny Coverdale.

“He made two incredible saves to keep it a win instead of a tie.”

The Vikings soccer team moves to 4-0 on the season with Marshfield as their next opponent.  Tomaro says she feels good about the teams chances.
