Junction City Blanks Siuslaw
Junction City remains perfect in league play after disposing of the Siuslaw Vikings last night. The Vikings were outgunned and lost in straight sets to end the first half of the season with a 2-3 record. Siuslaw returns to Junction City Saturday morning for tournament play.
Mapleton Falls to Eddyville
Mapleton also lost in straight sets last night against Eddyville. Non league volleyball tomorrow has the Sailor girls hosting Riddle at 11am and Camas valley at 2 o’clock in Mapleton.
Siuslaw Soccer Undefeated…Still
Siuslaw soccer continues to roll advancing to a 5-0 record after taking on Marshfield. Coach Londi Tomaro says the defense held off the Pirates for most of the game allowing only one score in the first half. Four Siuslaw players scored 5 goals in the 5-1 win. Yoskar De La Mora scored 2. Jason Garcia, Jaxson Jensen and Matthew Hubbard also scored.
Prep Schedule
Prep football tonight pits Siuslaw against the visiting Harrisburg Eagles in special district grid iron action. Pregame tonight on KCST is at 6:45, kick off at Hans Petersen Memorial Field is at 7 o’clock. In Mountain West League 8 man football it is Mapleton on the road to face the Warriors in Oakridge at 7 o’clock.

Prep Cross Country Saturday morning has Siuslaw’s road-warriors hosting their annual Woahink Lake Classic. Heats get underway at 10am.

Pac Twelve football Saturday has Oregon hosting the Cal Golden Bears at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. Pregame on KCST is at 3:30m kick off is set for 5 o’clock. While in Pasadena, California, Oregon State faces the UCLA Bruins in Pac Twelve play. Pregame on KCFM is at 5pm, kick-off is at 6 o’clock.
