Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Rhys Fleming as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Rhys had a great defensive effort against La Pine on Friday compiling 2 interceptions and 8 tackles. Rhys also had a reception for a touchdown on offense in the 32-0 win.
Honorable mention goes to Brendon Jensen who set a personal record in the 3000 meter Run for the Brownies last week with a time of 9:46.6.
Volleyball Play-in
The Lady Vikings are on their way to Astoria for a Play in against the Fisherman. Tonight’s match will begin at 5:15 pm. Astoria is 16-6 and 4-4 in league play.
