Cougars Take Beavers
Oregon State on Saturday traveled to Washington and showed the Cougars of Washington State that they were there to play football. OSU led at halftime by a score of 24-21 and the Cougars came bounding back in the third quarter to take a 35-24 lead. The Beavers came back and were ahead until the final seconds of the game when the Cougars scored a touchdown with 2 seconds left on the clock. Final score 54-53
Ducks Fall to Sun Devils
The Ducks were in the desert over the weekend as they faced ASU at Sun Devil Stadium. The Ducks could not find their stride in the first half. They managed to score first with a touchdown run early in the first quarter but struggled to find offense in the next 2 quarters. The Ducks lit up in the 4th quarter with 3 touchdowns but never led again in the game. Final score 31-28 ASU. The Ducks and the Beavers meet this Saturday at Autzen for the Civil War Battle at 1pm.
College Basketball –
On Friday the Ducks defeated Houston in basketball 78-66 to start the season 5-0. The Lady Ducks also start the season 5-0 after defeating #17 Syracuse last night 81-64.
The Beavers beat Grambling on Saturday in Corvallis 80-58 and are 5-1 on the season.
