Roundball Starts Tonight
Prep Basketball returns to the hardwood tonight and to the airwaves as the Siuslaw Vikings take on the Newport Cubs in non-league season opener. Tonight’s double header pregame on KCST is at 5:30, game one tips off at 5:45, game two from Siuslaw High School is at approximately 7 o’clock over Coast Radio Sports.
The Mapleton Sailors open their season with a non conference game against the Lowell devils. Double header action tips off in Mapleton at 5:30.
Ducks/Utes
Friday night the Oregon Ducks will vie for the PAC 12 Championship in Santa Clara, California against the Utah Utes. The Utes are 11-1 on the season and are 8-1 in conference play. Unlike the Ducks, Utah has not faced any top ranked teams this season, but have outscored their opponents 427-135. Utah’s only loss came in week 3 against Idaho State.
