Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate freshman Viking wrestler Mason Buss who defeated two senior wrestlers on his way to his championship bout with Central Linn’s Blake Owens. Buss finished first in the 120 pound category in Saturday’s Deven Dawson Classic in Harrisburg
Honorable Mention also goes to a freshman wrestler, Yoskar Delamora who took first place in the 106 pound category.
Prep Basketball
The Vikings are on the air and on the hardwood tonight as the new basketball season continues. Siuslaw will take on Sutherlin this evening in a non-league double header. Airtime on KCST is at 5:30. Game one of the evening between the Lady Viks and the Bulldogs tips off at Siuslaw High School at 5:45. The boy’s game follows at approximately 7:30.
Mapleton is on the road to Elkton this evening for a non league basketball double header. Game one between the Sailors and the Elks is at 5:30
