Mapleton Boys and Girls Split
Last night the Mapleton Sailors were on the court against Triangle Lake. The Sailor girls fell to fell to the Lakers 41-33. Sophomore Opal Burruss led the sailors with 12 points.
On the boy’s side the sailors handily defeated the eagles with a 53-34 victory and are 1-1 in league play.
OSU Women Off to Best Start…Ever
The Oregon State Beavers women’s basketball team is off to their best start in program history as they took down BYU last night in Hawaii. Destiny Slocum led the Beavers with 18 points. Freshman Kat Tudor continues to be hot from 3 point range with 4 of 5 outside the arc and added 15 points total.
Vikings Play Tonight
On the hardwood tonight the Siuslaw Vikings will take on the South Umpqua Lancers in non league Basketball. Pregame for tonight’s double header is at 5:45 on KCST, tip off on the hardwood in Myrtle Creek is at 6 o’clock for the opening game, game two is set for 7:30.
