Mapleton VS Siletz Valley
It took 4 overtimes last night as the Lady Sailors of Mapleton outlasted the Siletz Valley Warriors. Briena Jensen scored 11 for the Sailors with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The Lady Sailors go into the final game of the season on Saturday with 5 straight wins.
For the Sailor Boys it was a tough back and forth battle in a high scoring game. The warriors got past the Sailors 68-66.
Tonight the Sailors close out regular season play with a game originally schedule in January but postponed by weather. The Sailors are on the road for two games against CS Lewis Academy
Viking Wrestlers Senior Night
Siuslaw Viking wrestlers were on the mat last night against Philomath to close out the regular season home schedule. The Vikings defeated Philomath 45-24. Mason Buss, Hunter Petterson, Elijah LaCosse, Ryan Jennings and Matthew Horrillo defeated their opponents with three other Vikings winning by forfeit. Next up for the Vikings is the OSAA Boys Southern Division Regionals on February 21st and 22nd.
Vikings Vs Elmira
On the hardwood tonight the Siuslaw Viking are in Elmira tonight to face the Falcons in a Sky-em League double header. Pregame on KCST is at 5:30 the girls game opens the play at 5:45 the boys game follows at 7:15.
Ducks and Beavers Post Wins
The Oregon Ducks move back into first place in the PAC-12 after defeating Colorado last night in Eugene, 68-60. The ducks were down in the first half by 14 after allowing 20 straight points by the Buffalo. Will Richardson ended with 21 points to lead the Ducks.
The OSU Beavers cruised past the Utah Utes last night at home 70-51 with 4 players in double figures. Kylor Kelley led the Beavers with 16, Ethan Thompson followed with 13.
Oregon State will host Colorado on Saturday at 7 o’clock, pregame from Corvallis is at 6:30 on KCFM. The Ducks will host the Utah Utes Sunday in a game that airs 5:30, tip off is set for 6 o’clock in Eugene.
The Oregon Women are on the road tonight to take on UCLA’s Bruins, While Oregon State women will face the USC Trojans.
Baseball Begins
And the Collegiate Baseball season opens this afternoon for both the Ducks and the Beavers. Oregon State is at the Sanderson Ford Classic for four games beginning this afternoon against New Mexico, Oregon is in Tempe to for three games beginning with Minnesota this afternoon.
