2020 Hall of Fame Inductees
The 2020 Siuslaw High School Hall of Fame class has been announced. Three individuals top the list, two were deferments from last year, Ben Voogd Siuslaw Basketball, and Jesse Schutte Siuslaw Golfer, new on the list is Rob Dimick. Dimick was a running back on offense and a line backer on defense during Siuslaw’s 1974 state runner-up football team that won the Coast League and posted a 10-2 season. Also on the list of inductees are the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Girls Cross Country Team, the 2004 Boys Cross Country Team, the 2005 Golf Team and the 2006 Football team. The early reveal, according to Athletic Director Chris Johnson is to give the team plenty of time to make plans to attend the event which will be Friday August 7th at the Florence Event Center.
PAC 12 Tournament
The Men’s Pac Twelve Tournament opens this afternoon at the Las Vegas T Mobile Arena. Opening game of the day is Oregon State taking on Utah. Pregame on KCFM is at 11:30, tip off between the Beavers and Utes is set for noon. Arizona will face Washing ton at 2:30, it’s Stanford against California at 6, on the day wraps up with Colorado and Washington State. Oregon will enter the tournament in tomorrow’s opening quarter final game at noon against the winner of today’s Oregon State / Utah game.
