Ionescu Sweeps
Sabrina Ionescu made a clean sweep yesterday of the Player of the year awards making her the undisputed top college women’s basketball player in the nation. She was awarded the Wooden Award yesterday for the second straight year. Early yesterday Ionescu also was awarded her third straight Nancy Lieberman Award as the national point guard of the year. She was also named to the Naismith Starting Five along with teammates Ruthy Hebard and Satou Sabally. Ducks Head Coach Kelly Graves said it is historical what Iounescu has accomplished and that it was a shame that she did not get to validate it with a National Championship.
