Local Athletes Get Recognition

Ryan Rendon-Padilla and Hannow Rannow have received some statewide attention to the Track and Field season that wasn’t.  the Oregonian/Oregon Live listed both Siuslaw athletes in their would-be Stars section. Rendon-Padilla was recognized as a “self-Taught” javelin prodigy whose personal best throw was 191-7. And won consecutive Class 4A titles .

Rannow’s accolades consisted of her efforts in the 800, 1500 and 3000 meter races.  Last year Rannow won the Class 4A state title in the 3000 and was hoping to take a shot at the school record before the coronavirus interrupted the track and field season.
