OSAA-No Decision Yet on Summer

Executive director for OSAA, Peter Weber said in a release yesterday that while phase 2 is underway, it is still up to school districts when they will reopen for sporting activities.  Schools are not included in the Phase 2 directives and still have to coordinate with the Oregon Department of Education concerning all school activities.  Schools that do choose to move forward without clearance could be jeopardizing a schools PACE insurance coverage.  Currently the Executive Order is in effect until June 30th and could be updated or extended by Governor Brown depending on what direction the coronavirus takes in the next several weeks.
