Assistant Volleyball Coach Sought
The Siuslaw Viking Volleyball team is looking for an assistant coach for the upcoming season. According to the schools Website the position will need to be filled by mid August and would extend through November if the team were to make the playoffs. The position will close effectively July 17, at 4pm. Siuslaw was 4-6 in league play last season and 10-12 overall.
Ducks Get Transfer Standout
St. Johns basketball standout LJ Figueroa will be transferring to Oregon for the fall. Figueroa is a 6-6 senior who averaged 14.5 points a game and led the Big East with 1.9 steals a game. He was also third on the year for 3-pointers with 72 for the 2019-2020 season. Head Coach for the Ducks, Dana Altman says Figueroa will need a waiver from the NCAA in order to be eligible for the 2020-2021 season.
