Ducks Forced to Cancel Game

The Big Ten Conference announced yesterday that it will begin its collegiate football season with only interconference play.  That news means that the September 12th game versus the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State has been cancelled.  The game was built as a battle between the conferences and would have been a big early indicator of the strength of the Ducks Football team.  The Big Ten is not the only conference that is looking at a conference only schedule.  The Pac-12 is expected to also announce that they will be moving in that direction.  If that comes it will also mean the cancellation of the Michigan/Washington match up scheduled for week one of the season.  The Big 12 the ACC and the SEC are also considering the change.
