OSAA: Play Close to Home

OSAA: Play Close to Home

While high school football schedules have been released a recent letter from the director of the Oregon School Activities Association Peter Weber recommends that schools try to stay close to home when considering league play.  Weber says that some leagues have schools crossing four or five counties in order to compete in league play.  He also said that if it makes more sense to play out of your league in order to stay close to home that may be a better route to take.  Weber says they are still working on all the details.  Siuslaw’s basketball schedule has also posted to OSAA.  It is still unclear what changes, if any, will occur based on the OSAA’s recommendation.
