Schedules Tentative; Ducks Finish Pre-season Camp

Schedules Tentative

Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson says the school is working towards a January start date for High School athletics, but with the caveat that it is all subject to change due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Johnson says he and the coaches have been working hard on getting things set for Siuslaw, but that is not the case for all schools,

“We’re putting together schedules and have those wrapped up, at least we do, a lot of schools are still trying to scramble to find their preseason games.”

First up is basketball and volleyball.  The Basketball schedule will include 4 non-league games to start.  The school is still in process of finalizing a coaching choice for Siuslaw Volleyball.  Vikings former coach Jonathan Hornung left Siuslaw for a coaching and teaching position in Eugene.

Ducks Finish Pre-season Camp

Preseason camp for the Oregon Ducks ended on Saturday as the Ducks prepare for this Saturday’s game against Stanford.  Coach Cristobal says he hopes that the coaches can come up with a 2 deep roster and get the starting positions set for the game.  Cristobal says he is happy with the performance of Tyler Shough at quarterback.  In Saturday’s mock game Shough had two touchdown passes.
