Beavers Fall Short

The Oregon State Beavers opened up at home against Washington State.  The Beavers had a difficult time controlling the Cougar offense as the Cougars led 28-14 going into the 4th quarter.  The Beavers put up two touchdowns in the 4th quarter cutting the Cougar lead to just 3 with under 3 minutes to play but a late Cougar touchdown put the game out of reach.  The Beavers did pretty well considering the final score with 451 yards of total offense 329 through the air and 122 on the ground.  Beaver QB Tristan Gebbia was 34-38 with one TD.  Jermar Jefferson carried the ball 21 times for 120 yards.
