Ducks Extend Home Win Streak

The Oregon Ducks Hosted the Cal Bears Last night and extended their home win streak to 27 after hand the Bears an 82-69 defeat.  4 of the Ducks Starting 5 were in double figures led by senior Forward Eugene Omoruyi.  Omoruyi was 10 for 14 from the field with 6 rebounds. Senior guard Chris Duarte added 19 in the win.

Ducks Arrive in the Desert

The Oregon Ducks are in Arizona preparing for the 50th anniversary of the Fiesta Bowl, now named the Playstation Fiesta Bowl.  The Ducks will take on the tenth Ranked Iowa State Cyclones tomorrow at 1 pm from the desert.  With an 11:30 pre-game time on KCST.  Temperatures are expected to be in the 60’s with sunny skies for the game.  The Ducks are hoping to bring the trophy back to the state.  Oregon last appeared in the Fiesta bowl in 2013 defeating Kansas State 35-17.  They also won it in 2002 defeating #3 ranked Colorado 38-16.

2020 Sports Review

In 2020 sports High School and college sports were put in jeopardy as the coronavirus ran rampant.  Siuslaw High School and Mapleton High School were not able to participate in any of their fall sporting activities.  College sports found a way to start the season late with a limited season.  The Oregon Ducks were almost eliminated as the Pac-12 Champions by the virus until it was determined that the Washington Huskies would not be able to participate in the Pac-12 Championship and the Ducks were able to take their place and defeat the USC Trojans for their chance at a bowl appearance.
