High School Sports Update
Siuslaw High School Athletic Director Chris Johnson says they are hopeful that some indoor sporting activities will be able to move forward. Currently they are restricted by the number of people that can congregate inside a building, but he says the OSAA continues to meet on a regular basis to go over the changing requirements and try to formulate a plan. Johnson says football is still in danger of not moving forward, but cross country, baseball and softball are safe for now. Track and Field will be a bit more challenging as they try to figure out how to limit the number of participants that can be on the property at any given moment. The OSAA executive board is scheduled to meet on Monday.
Basketball Schedule Update
As of this morning the Oregon Ducks are still on schedule to play the Washington State Cougars on Thursday. That game is slated for an 8 pm start with a 7:30 pregame on KCST. The Ducks have been off the court since January 23rd when they met the OSU Beavers.
The Lady Ducks have also been sidelined and could resume play as early as Friday against Arizona State.
Next up for the OSU Beavers will be the Washington Huskies on Thursday with a pregame time scheduled for KCFM at 5:30. The OSU Women are scheduled to meet with the Arizona Wildcats on Friday.
