Ducks Try To Shake Off Rust; Beavers Win at Home

Ducks Try To Shake Off Rust

It was a battle down to the final seconds as the Oregon Ducks tried to shake off the rust of being inactive.  They hosted the Washington State Cougars last night at Matthew Knight Arena.  5 Ducks were in double figures with Eugene Omoruyi leading the charge with 21 but in the end it was the Cougars who came out victorious 74-71.  The Cougars hit from beyond the arc for 10 3-pointers which helped them to secure the win.  The Ducks remain home for tomorrow’s game against the Huskies.  KCST will carry the game beginning at 12:30.

Beavers Win at Home

The Oregon State Beavers welcomed the Washington Huskies to Gill Coliseum last night and then ushered them back out with a loss tagged on their record.  The Beavers led the entire game and had a very productive night from their starting 5.  All of them were in double figures and Warith Alatishe had a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.  The Beavers took the Huskies 91-71 and improved their Pac-12 record to 5-5.  The Beavers host the Washington State Cougars tomorrow beginning at 2:30 on KCFM.

The OSU women are on hiatus with COVID protocols until Friday February 12 against Stanford.  The Oregon women will still meet UC Davis tomorrow at 6 pm.
