Lacouture Recognized
Siuslaw High’s Camp Lacouture was recognized by Scorebook Live as one of the top linebackers in the state. Lacouture was the only Viking to receive all-league honors for both sides of the ball. Siuslaw is scheduled to begin their football season this Friday night against La Pine, in La Pine.
Ducks/Beavers Win
LJ Figueroa led the Ducks on Saturday with a double-double scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Eugene Omoruyi scored 21 for the ducks as they defeated Cal 74-63
The Beavers swept the Stanford Cardinal at home for the first time since the 80’s as Lucas Jarod led the Beavers with 26 and Ethan Thompson added 13 in the 73-62 win. The Beavers Play next on Wednesday against the Utah Utes before heading to the U of Oregon to meet the Ducks on Sunday.
The Ducks have a couple extra games scheduled for this week. This evening they face Arizona at home this evening with a 5:30 pregame on KCST. And then on Wednesday they host the UCLA Bruins.
Yesterday the Lady ducks defeated the Oregon State Beavers at Matthew knight arena 88-77. The ducks will head to Las Vegas for the NCAA tournament. Games and times tbd.
