Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate junior Viking baseball player Jason Garcia as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Jason was Siuslaw’s winning pitcher in the opening game against Cottage Grove, pitching 3 and a 1/3 innings and was the only Viking Soccer player named to the Sky-EM League First Team.
Honorable Mention goes to senior Viking softball catcher Adriana Edwards who was 4 for 8 with an RBI and four stolen bases in Siuslaw’s double-header against Elmira
Viking Baseball/Softball
The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the diamond today. Both the Softball and Baseball teams will host Marshfield beginning at 5 pm. The Boys game will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 4:45.
Viking Track and Field
The Viking track and field squad will host Bandon, Elmira and Pacific today with events scheduled to begin at 4 pm.
