Vikings Over Pleasant Hill

The Siuslaw Viking edged out the Pleasant Hill Billies last night in season opening action on the basketball court.  The game was decided in overtime when the officials ruled a close basket as a three pointer from Pleasant Hill’s Jett Seitz tying the game at 64.  The Vikings took the lead with 2:12 on the clock leading 72 66 a last minute run for the Billies came up short as the game ended 72-71.  Free throws were the difference in the game.   Braydon Thornton led the Vikings with 23 points.

 

The Vikings are back on the court at home this evening and will be joined by the girls team as they host North Bend.  Games will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 5:30.

Youth Soccer

The Siuslaw Youth Soccer Association will host their annual general meeting on Tuesday May 27th at 7pm.  Two positions on the board of Directors are up for election this year.  Interested parties can notify their intent to run for a position by submitting their intent in writing by Monday, May 24th to siuslawyouthsoccer@gmail.com
