Eddyville Defeats Mapleton
The Mapleton Sailors were on the court last night against Eddyville Charter the team lost 56-37. Two sailors had the majority of the points. JJ Neece led with 24 and AJ Moso had 11. The sailors will face Triangle Lake on Monday.
The Sailor girls were also on the floor. Coach Molly Dooley said they started the game with 5 players but had one Sailor foul out early in the second quarter leving the team with only 4 available. Eddyville won 34-13.
Siuslaw vs. North Bend
The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the court tonight against North Bend. Siuslaw Athletic Director, Chris Johnson says there will only be a boy’s game as there are not enough available girls for the early game. The game this evening will not be broadcast on Coast Radio.
Track and Field Championships
The 4A track and field championships begin at 11 am this morning at Hans Peterson Field. Events will begin with preliminary rounds and move to finals later in the day and on Saturday.
Wrestling
Viking wrestlers will be at the Sutherlin Invitational this evening and will immediately move to the Marshfield Invitational tomorrow. Coach Neil Wartnik says he is hopeful that there will be no hiccups provided by the COVID-19 pandemic and that there is strict adherence to state guidelines.
