Game Postponed

The Lady Vikings had to sit on the sidelines last night as the game between the Vikings and Junction City had to be postponed and will be rescheduled for the future.

Vikings Battle in Loss

The Siuslaw Viking boys had built a slight lead in the third quarter last night leading the Junction City Tigers by 4 points but Junction City had a strong finish with a 14 point run late in the quarter pulling ahead for good.  The Vikings lost the battle 49-35.  Braydon Thornton was back on the court last night and led the team with 10.  The Vikings are now 5-2 on the season and 2-2 in league play.  Junction City remains undefeated.  The Vikings head to Cottage Grove on Thursday.  Mapleton will also be back on the court and will host Alsea on Thursday.

Emeralds Win

The Eugene Emeralds were on the field beginning a 6 game series against Vancouver.  The game was played in Hillsboro.  Eugene exploded with 6 runs in the first two innings to take a commanding lead and added one more in the 4th for a 7-1 victory.  They play again tonight at 7:05.
