Vikings down Elmira

The Siuslaw Vikings cleared the bench last night and gave some of its second string players a chance to work the ball down the court as midway into the third quarter the Vikings held a steady lead of more than 20 points against Elmira.  The Vikings Liam McClellan put up 4 3-pointers in a row as the Vikings trounced Elmira 66-41.

The Viking girls also had a banner game with Gracie Freudenthal scoring her 4th Double/double in a row scoring 22 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.  Brea Blankenship also had a double/double with 17 points and 10 steals.  Vikings won 46-14.

Mapleton Splits

The Mapleton Sailors were at Yoncalla last night and improved to 5-5 on the year with a 44-34 victory.  The Lady Sailors were defeated by the Eagles 43-14  Opal Burruss had 7 in the loss.

Wrestling

Yoskar De la Mora, Elijah LaCosse, Ryan Jennings,  Mason Buss and Christian Newlan all had wins in yesterday’s Philomath wrestling tournament but the Vikings did not have enough points to pull out a victory.  Jennings and De la Mora each had 2 wins on the night.
