Historic Meet
On Friday and Saturday the Viking boys wrestling team was on the mat. Two Vikings received second place finishes. Seniors Elijah LaCosse and Christian Newlan both lost in the championship round. In all 6 Vikings medaled in the tournament making it the most during the tenure of head coach Neil Wartnik.
Mason Buss finished third, Ryan Jennings 5th and Yoskar De la Mora and freshman Dayne Muller finished in 6th place.
Emeralds First to 30
It was hot at PK Park yesterday as the Emeralds and Canadians battled through temperatures in triple digits, in the end the Ems came out on top 7-2 capping a 4-2 run against Vancouver. It also secured the Ems as the first league team to reach 30 wins. The Ems are 30-17 in the High-A West. The Ems get a break today and head to Hillsboro to take on the Hops on Tuesday.
