Lane County Public health is reporting another 10 cases of COVID-19 for the Florence Area this morning. that is in addition to 17 cases that were reported from over the weekend bringing the total number of cases to 319. Over the previous two weeks there have been 58 cases for the Florence community. According to Jason Davis with Lane County Public Health there have been 3 different Long Term Care Facilities that have experienced double digit numbers in Florence and the rest are community spread. Cases for Lane County have increased more than 125% in the past 10 days. The Oregon Health Authority is saying that most of the new cases are among the unvaccinated population and are encouraging individuals to continue to mask in public settings. Lane County numbers are some of the highest in the state behind Multnomah and Clackamas Counties.
