Ems Wait Until the 9th
The Eugene Emeralds were down 9-6 last night and started the ninth inning with hopes of extending the game. After an out, a single and a walk the Ems Labour, how had gone 0-4 on the night drilled a 400 foot home run to dead center field tying the game for the Ems. The Aquasox switched pitchers after the dinger and brought in left-hander Ben Onyshko. The Ems Heath Quinn took the first pitch and drove it over the right field fence to give the ems the lead. Later in the inning with one man on a Robert Emery single brought in Brett Auerbach. The Ems held the Aquasox scoreless in the bottom of the ninth winning the game 11-9. The Ems had 4 homers on the night. They are still 6.5 games out of first place.
