Mapleton Cancels First Two Football Games
Mapleton Football will have to wait two additional weeks to begin it football program. The school is reporting a positive COVID test and all individuals who were in close contact with the positive person have been contacted and are under a quarantine through Friday, September 10th. the game this Friday and the following game on September 10 have been cancelled.
Vikings Still Hopeful for Week 2 Football
The Siuslaw Vikings are still hopeful that they can find a replacement for the September 10th game that was cancelled. There is no official word from Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson. Only that they were still working on filling the slot as of yesterday afternoon.
Mapleton Volleyball
On Saturday Mapleton Volleyball was on the court at C.S. Lewis, they split a pair of matches losing to Southwest Christian 2-0. In the later contest they defeated C.S. Lewis Academy 2-0. The sailors are 2-2 so far on the season.
