Viking Soccer Results
Siuslaw Viking Soccer had their hands full against Pleasant Hill yesterday. Coach Londi Tomaro said several players seemed to be off their game and combined with a difficult opponent left the team disjointed. Pleasant hill scored 7 goals in the first half. Goalie Kayden Lane had 14 saves on goal. Senior Dante Galli scored the Vikings only goal late in the first half. The Billies won the match 9-1.
The JV squad had a back and forth game with the Billies the Vikings had a total of 23 shots on goal and managed to score 4. the final was 4-4.
Viking Football
This evening the Siuslaw Vikings will be playing football in sisters. Sisters is 0-1 and is coming off a loss to Madras last week. The Vikings are hoping to capitalize on their momentum from last week’s win against North Valley. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 6:45 with Bob Sneddon and Randy Paredes calling the game.
Weekend Sports
Siuslaw volleyball will also be in sisters this weekend with tournament play beginning tomorrow at 8am. Cross Country on Saturday will be at Lane Community College for the Northwest Classic.
The Oregon Ducks will host Stony Brook tomorrow from Eugene. Game time on KCST will begin at 3pm with a 4:30 kickoff.
The Oregon State Beavers will host the Idaho Vandals. That game will be on KCFM tomorrow beginning at 11:30.
