Ducks hope to avenge loss in Pac Twelve Championship – Beavers Fall in Men’s Hoops to Cal

The Ducks are looking to avenge their loss to the Utah Utes two weeks ago as number 10 Oregon has made it to the Pac-12 title game for the third straight year. The Ducks are looking to improve to 5-0 all-time in the championship game and get back to the Rose Bowl. No. 14 Utah is seeking its first Pac-12 championship in the Utes third trip to the title game. Utah has never been to the Rose Bowl.

In College Hoops:

Cal’s Jordan Shepherd and Andre Kelly combined for 45 points, 33 in the second half and  California opened Pac-12 play with a 73-61 win over Oregon State. Kelly had eight points in the first five minutes of the second half when he and Shepherd combined for a 12-1 Golden Bear run. Then they scored the final 13 Cal points over the last four minutes to hold off the Beavers. Shepherd scored 25 points and Kelly 20 for the Golden Bears. Kelly grabbed 13 rebounds for his fourth double-double as Cal had a 42-24 rebounding advantage. Warith Alatishe scored 21 points for the Beavers. The Beavers host Arizona’s Wildcats Sunday at Gill Collesium, airtime is 12:30 on KCFM. While the Oregon Ducks will play Arizona State Sunday, at 4 o’clock at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, pregame is at 3:30 on KCST..
