Vikings Looking for Discipline in Win

The Siuslaw Viking almost squandered their lead last night late in the second half.  The Vikings were up by 7 point with just over a minute to play when Newport rallied dropping a three pointer and followed it up with two more points to get within 2.  Siuslaw drove down the court to get it back to a 4 point lead and then got the ball back as Newport tried a 3 point attempt that went out of bounds.  A technical foul was then called on Camp Lacouture which gave the cubs a chance to pull within two.  Newport then got the ball on the foul and with seconds left had three shots on the goal and missed all of them as time expired giving the Vikings the win 63-61.  Avery Hart led the scorers with 18, Brayden Thornton added 16 in the win.
