Siuslaw Joins New League
The OSAA has released its final layout for the next 4 years and the Siuslaw Viking have moved all sports to 3A. the Vikings will be part of the new Mountain Valley Conference which includes Creswell, Sisters, Pleasant Hill, La Pine, Elmira and Harrisburg. The changes will take effect beginning in the fall of 2022.
Billies Beat Vikings
It was a tough battle on the court last night for the Siuslaw Viking boys as they faced Pleasant Hill. The Billies outlasted the Vikings 64-62. The Viking girls lost 41-12 in their outing against the Billies.
Mapleton Basketball
The Mapleton Sailors were defeated by Myrtle Point last night in the Bandon Dunes Holiday Invitational 57-30. The Sailor girls were also defeated 47-6.
Ducks and Beavers Win
The Oregon Ducks go into the break on a winning note defeating Pepperdine 68-59. Senior guard Will Richardson led the Ducks with 19.
The Oregon State Beaver men’s team added a win putting an end to their 10 game losing streak. The Beavers defeated Nicholls 83-61.
