2021 Review:

Remembering 2021 is easy in sports with a pair of State Championships still fresh.  The Siuslaw Viking Cross Country boys and girls were victorious dominating throughout the season. On Saturday November 6th the Viking boys took 3 of the top seven spots and the Viking girls won their championship by one point over Philomath.

2021 also saw a huge turn around for Viking Football as Siuslaw started out the season with a cancellation due to COVID-19 but quickly recovered and began a march of the ages as they defeated opponent after opponent on their way to an undefeated season.   On a partly sunny Saturday in Late November the Viking brought all they had to the field against South Umpqua holding the Lancers to just 3 field goals.  A late surge by the Lancers was thwarted by a Braydon Thornton interception that sealed the Vikings fate!  Vikings State Champions 14-9
