Joe Shepard Receives Medals

Mapleton Track and Field competed yesterday at a meet in Waldport.  Coach Ed Dellahay said the fledgling team did well scoring 5 first place victories.  Senior Joe Shepard had two of them with a first place finish in the triple jump with 39’11” and first in the high jump 5’4”  Opal Burruss was first in the long jump at 11’3.5” and first in the 400 meter at 1:13.5.  Caleb Lewis finished first in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 26.64.

Icebreaker

This afternoon the Siuslaw Vikings Track and Field will host their Icebreaker at 4 pm.  Siuslaw will compete with Cottage Grove.

Vikings Baseball/Softball

Tomorrow the Siuslaw Viking baseball team will be in Klamath falls for a game against Mazama followed by a double header on Saturday against Klamath Union.

Lady Viking Softball against South Umpqua has been moved from Saturday to Friday.  Varsity will play at 2 pm followed by JV at 4 pm.

Ducks and Texas A&M

The Oregon Ducks will take the court against Texas A&M on Saturday morning at 9 am for the second round of the NIT.  The game will be played in College Station Texas and will have an 8:30 pregame on KCST followed by Viking Baseball.
